Rowena, this is a stunning picture. The background patterns, also echoed in her dress, feel like waves of sound to me. I can almost hear the music and yes, it IS her heartbeat, and mine.
I'm proud of you for posting the picture without feeling as if you HAD to post words, too. (although i MISS your words, since they move me as much as your paintings do) but if you had to let go of posting words, in order to get the painting up, then so be it.
Right? I'm just not as good at posting everyday right now, but I'm still working on my project.
Here come all the words. uh oh.
And this painting was actually inspired by Thursday Sweet Treats prompt of and then the music came... until I read the post and realized I did it wrong.
I was trying to figure out what music would LOOK like.
I am not a synaesthete. I don't hear colors or see music. This is what I came up with. I like it, mostly.
I've been intrigued by patterns lately, too. This one definitely has a rhythm, a heartbeat, a sense of movement and flow.
I like it a lot. :)
